Hello, and welcome to Autumn in the southern hemisphere. As we enter a 9 month (3 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 2 = 9), we can pause for a moment and have gratitude for having experienced those long, balmy summer days. Before we look ahead to the brightness of the future, we have the opportunity to reflect on what has passed. Energetically, the month of March is likely to bring closure on many levels. Number 9 holds the highest vibration of the single-digit numbers as it contains attributes of all the preceding numbers from 1 to 8. Composed of a combination of mental, physical, and spiritual vibrations, 9 signifies completion. We have gone full circle. Nine is about endings rather than beginnings. This is the time to let go of the things that no longer serve us, to clean up our act and complete projects we have shelved. We can start this process by physically decluttering our home, as a cluttered home or workspace represents a cluttered mind. Smudging is a great way to cleanse our minds of negativity and chaotic energy so that we may welcome positivity and gratitude into our lives. I cleanse my house, either by smudging or drumming through every room. Before I do this, I open doors and windows and set the intention of opening my space to love. This allows new energy to come into my life and that of my family. Our body is our temple, so cleansing of our bodies is important. Besides smudging of our person, we can release toxins through, for example, a massage, spa bath or foot soak, or make dietary changes, perhaps through a detox program. Letting go may mean than people go out of our lives. Perhaps our neighbour of twenty years moves away, or a personal or business relationship ends. Our external world is changing rapidly, and with this may even come a change in our belief system. As we bring closure to what was, we are being prepared for a new path to open up, with new affiliations, friendships and adventures to look forward to. Nine is ruled by the red-hot planet Mars, owning the sign of Aries. Mars is fiery in nature, bringing drive, energy, and passion. Avoid getting caught up in dramas or argumentative situations as these can easily get out of hand. This is the time to take extra care when driving and when using sharp objects such as knives in the kitchen. With its masculine energy, Mars is said to be the planet of war and action. Fortunately, we are in a 6 universal year (2 + 0 + 2 + 2). Venus is associated with the number 6, concerned with beauty and love. With its gentle feminine energy, Venus seeks harmony, balance, and above all, peace. The masculine and feminine has, for aeons of time, been out of balance. It is heartening to know that finally these two energies are come back into equilibrium. At a mundane level, as we continue our trek through uncharted territory, we are moving towards a time of beauty, love, and peace. |
