August is a 6 universal month (8 + 2 + 0 + 2 + 3 = 15; 1 + 5 = 6). Akin to a breath of fresh air, the 6 vibration is vibrantly nourishing; of the kind that can feed our soul.
Attributed to the planet Venus, ruling the dual signs of Libra and Taurus, the energy of this gentle number is about loving kindness. It’s also one of the numbers of connectivity. Central themes of love, family, and the home bring an intimate focus. This is a favourable time to prioritise relationships with loved ones. A highly social number, as well as new friendships, we can be supported in making new connections both in business and our community.
The 6 vibration is on the mental plane and helps us express ourselves more freely. Self-expression through the sharing of ideas is highlighted; we can also embrace our artistic side through art or other creative pursuits.
Six needs harmony; it requires a peaceful life in order to function effectively. This month’s slower-paced energy means that gentleness and patience will win the day. Self-care will help balance our energies.
It would be remiss of me not to mention the major cosmic event happening this month. Every year when the Sun is in the astrological sign of Leo, there is a cosmic alignment called the “Lions Gateway”, the result of a portal opening in the heavens. The opening occurs over several days; however its widest opening occurs on the 8th day of the 8th month, the most potent day of the year.
The Lions Gate opening has been observed and honoured by the Egyptians for thousands of years. This gateway opening has to do with the Sun, the Earth, and the fixed star Sirius. As Sirius rises in the sky, Orion’s belt directly aligns with the Pyramid of Giza. A potent energy stream moving through the stars pouring to the Earth results in not only a physical alignment, but also a spiritual one. Our human energy field is activated as high vibrational frequencies and codes of awakening ignite our DNA.
Sirius is one of my favourite fixed stars, often visible in the night sky. The ancients believe Sirius to be the gateway to heaven and that when we leave our physical bodies our souls travel there. Many of us know Sirius as the Dog Star. It is also our “Spiritual Sun” and is said to be a place of higher consciousness that holds the energy of pure love. When the Gateway is open, not only are we able to receive love more readily; we can do our part by sending love out to the world to support the shift of energy that’s happening to bring our lives back into balance.
During the Lions Gate opening an expansion of consciousness occurs. These higher vibrations help us more readily to connect with our guides and ancestors. We may also glean deeper insights into the messages in our dreams. Harnessing the power of this energy will help overcome any anxieties or fears and support us with manifesting our passions. This Gateway opening is helping us to move forward on our ascension path. In honouring this process, we are honouring ourselves and our commitment to being on Earth at this special time.
In order to manifest we need deliberate and clear intent. We often sabotage ourselves; for instance, we may believe we’re not good enough or not deserving. We may want something yet give out such mixed signals to the universe that we fail miserably. This is because the universe doesn’t listen to our words; it listens to our vibrations and always sends us what we’re in alignment with. If we can push aside these niggling doubts and be clear about what we want, the universe will help us create what we truly desire.
